As a follow up to the previous post, Tim Lambesis went to court and received his sentence of 6 years in prison. He will have 48 days credit of jail time that he previously served and will attend court while in jail for a civil suit against him for 2 million dollars from his now ex wife. His wife and his 3 children whom he adopted will receive 10 years protection against Tim, which will most likely mean he will not have a big part in their life, which is heartbreaking.
Tim’s sentencing is a sad one, and an unfortunate one of a divorce gone bad. The music he helped create with As I Lay Dying was an inspiration to his fans, including myself. This situation will teach many and may he come out of jail and continue living his dream and prospering. And may his wife also find her peace and live happily. Love can be a dangerous game, yet we will still out weight the risks, with the rewards.
The rest of the bend have not spoken on what will happen after Tim Lambesis release and what it means for future albums. They however must continue to feed their families, and will continue to make music under a band name of Wovenwar. Wovenwar is the remainder of the As I Lay Dying members teaming up with Shane Blay who is the current singer of Oh, Sleeper. You can listen to their new song below.
