In case you have been living under a rock, you probably heard or have been watching March Madness. And if you were one of the many that have been watching as many games as possible because you played in the Quicken Loans Billion Dollar Bracket, you will find yourself upset, and rightfully so.
This year’s tournament had so many upsets even NFL players are trying to back track on bets! No one who knows the sport could have predicted that Oklahoma State, Oklahoma University, Kansas, and Duke would all be eliminated from the tournament. And if some one said they knew Stanford would make it to the Sweet 16 are either liars or lucky. But even with all of the craziness, the games have been very entertaining like Stephen F. Austin’s amazing comeback after Haymon got a 4 point play to send them to over time and win the game.
One to remember is Wichita who were undefeated in the season losing to Kentucky late in the 2nd half where even with all the chances available could not pull of a victory. Ohio’s early departure to neighboring school Dayton was the first upset in the tournament in game where Ohio could have and should have won only to lose by one point. That game also probably cost a lot of people money at the casinos, and will teach a valuable lesson for many not to gamble, unless it is free like the billion dollar challenge.
As of right now, I still have UCLA and Louisville making it to the finals, but the Sweet 16 contain the following teams. Florida, UCLA, Dayton, Stanford, Virginia, Michigan St., Iowa St., Connecticut, Arizona, SDSU, Baylor, Wisconsin, Kentucky, Louisville, Tennessee, and Michigan.
Comment below on who you think will make it to the finals.
