This Could Be Something
So the only question is why are we being blamed for our situation when the previous generations are the ones to blame? I know we aren’t exactly innocent either. Our generation is responsible for the election of the worst president we will ever have. We also focus on things that are completely useless, like making a meme go viral or our obsession with Game of Thrones (a show I have never seen by the way.) But what else can we do? I actually read an article blaming millennials for movie theaters and restaurants like Applebee’s going out of business. I just think it’s hilarious because while their prices have gone up, our wages have not. And who has money to spend on movies and Applebee’s when our rent goes up? Or the fact we paying back 4% on those student loans we took out earlier Or let’s talk about how if we do go out to eat or see a movie, we are being financially irresponsible. There truly is no winning for our situation. But as I mentioned earlier, I do have hope.
“Well Ryan, I hear what you are saying, but every other generation has had their fair share of challenges and they overcame them.” Well no shit Sherlock, thats the point I am trying to make. We are trying to overcome our problems, but we are also criticized at every fork we pass on our road to success. Damn if we do, damn if we don’t. I was always told there is no good in crying over spilled milk. So I won’t keep beating a dead horse, but I do want our voice to be heard.
