The new KitKat update is now available for HTC One owners who have Sprint as their carrier. HTC has kept their promise as they once again deliver the update with out any major delays, improving their track record for handling updates.
Also, Sprint boosts their reputation as they are the first among the carriers for a second time to have the HTC One update first for their customers within the United States. As an owner of the HTC One, the biggest change I noticed was the addition of emojis. This should be great news for those with an HTC One who use twitter or instagram daily, as they will no longer see a square box and have to guess context of a message or feel left out of the loop.
Also you will see an update to Sense 5.5 which in my first day using, noticed a snappier and more responsive feel to the phone, as well as a better battery performance possibly being from ram being used more efficiently. AT&T, Verizon, and T-Mobile customers should see their update soon as HTC said all the devices should receive it by the middle of February.
