Goran “The Dragon” Dragic had a career high 40 point game against the Pelicans for a 116-104 win. The Suns made a great late fourth quarter effort with the heroics of Dragic that earned them the win against the Pelicans and will keep the Suns in the 8th seed for another day, barely holding off the Memphis Grizzlies.
Dragic, had just set his career high of 35 points against the Houston Rockets on Sunday, but still ended up with a lost. Tonight, he one ups his previous performance and makes it 40 with a spectacular showcase. Dragic was spinning, shooting threes, more spinning, and great finishing at the rim for a well earned win. He continues to dominate his position of point guard on the Phoenix Suns as Eric Bledsoe is still out due to injury. The crowd chanted MVP late in the fourth quarter as Dragic shot is last 2 free throws to finish off the game. Dragic finished with 40 points, 5 assists, and 4 rebounds with just a little bit less than 42 minutes of play.
Pelicans who are now on a six game losing streak, had a great output by up and coming star Anthony Davis who nearly had a triple double with 32 points, 9 rebounds, and 2 assists. His efforts were not enough and the Pelicans continue their slump, after many expected the Pelicans to have a season that would have ended them somewhere in the top ranking of the Western Conference.
