After facing lawsuits and potential stock loses after a subpar release of BattleField 4, EA has been doing their best to damage control incident and make good on promises. However their efforts along with DICE have come up short, again. 3 Months after the games release along with multiple updates and one of the biggest issues with the game is still plaguing many users, including myself. The Campaign seems to either no save, or is corrupted upon exiting the game and it is leaving many frustrated.
I can reason with errors and glitches because it was apart of the first waves of games for the next gen of gaming (should I start saying current generation?) and even then I don’t believe I should excuse this behavior. Before the Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3, games had to shipped to their maximum capability. There were no updates or patches that could be sent, so why have them now. Granted some of these patches make the game more fun and fix some serious issues that probably couldn’t be done before, but why they relying on them now? And if patches or updates are meant to fix the game, then I would assume they would work.
I am not happy with replaying the same missions over and over when I haven’t even finished the game yet due to the lack of support from the developers and publisher which I am sure is very busy handling plenty of complaints and most likely looking to build their new iteration of the Battlefield series. Now that’s great for them but isn’t this all a little unfair? Now I would probably be less impatient and upset if there was a bigger selection of games to choose from, but for the time being I am stuck with Battlefield 4 and all of its glossy perfect visuals, along with its competitive challenging and fun multiplayer, and broken campaign which I have yet to finish. Will Recker, Irish and Hannah ever get passed the Russians? All the negativity aside, Battlefield 4 is a fun game and is one of the best out right now, and I do recommend buying it as long as you don’t plan to play the campaign! The experience I had with battlefield 4 makes me think about what mom always told me “it’s the little things that matter most”
